Another ‘Skins Rumor (I Just Threw Up In My Mouth a Little Bit)

Posted in Football with tags , , on March 31st, 2009 by Todd

ESPN.com’s NFL Rumormill has a blurb suggesting the ol’ Skinny Skins might be looking to take a QB with the 13th pick in next month’s draft.

Awesome.

“Although needs along the offensive and defensive lines are more prevalent for the team this offseason, it’s beginning to look like the Washington Redskins

Marky Mark Sanchez

Marky Mark Sanchez

could be ready to invest the No. 13 pick in the NFL draft on Mark Sanchez.

During the initial few days of McJaygate, Redskins coach Jim Zorn indicated that the team did not have interest in trading for Jay Cutler, and Vinny Cerrato, the team’s executive vice president of football operations, echoed that sentiment, telling the Washington Times that “Jason [Campbell] is going to be our quarterback this season.”

But it’s important to note the final two words in that statement. The Redskins may want to give Campbell one more chance this season while at the same time setting themselves up with his replacement in Sanchez. According to Pro Football Weekly, the team has put the USC quarterback through a private workout already, and is now in the process of performing due diligence.

While it would certainly make sense to draft a talented successor in Sanchez, the Skins might be in a tough spot if Andre Smith or Michael Oher are still on the board. Either man would be a suitable pick to supplement veterans Chris Samuels, who will turn 32 this summer, and Jon Jansen, who turned 33 in January.”

I know it’s been a REALLY, REALLY long time since the Redskins were considered among the league’s elite, but what I recall about those teams is that they were able to protect the passer AND rush the passer.

I hate you Dan Snyder, but I can’t quit you.

Clever ShamWow Headline Here

Vince Whatshisbuckets (the really cool ShamWow guy) beat the shi% out of a hooker last weekend.  And from the looks of his mugshots, she got a few good slapchops in, too (zing!!)

You can read the story here.

Dying a Slow Death

New content on the Bossanova seems to be drying up to a slow trickle.  Personally, I blame Joe.

It looks like the Browns are trying to move Braylon Edwards and the top candidates are the Giants and the Eagles.

Awesome.

The Greendale Death March

Posted in Golf with tags , , , on March 24th, 2009 by Todd

“How’s your life been going so far?”

It was these 7 simple words that would serve as a precursor to a horrific round of golf on Saturday.  While the weather was great the golf was piss poor, as Todd struggled to a 103, Tim a 117 and Joe some infinite number Stephen Hawking would have difficulty calculating.

Guest golfer, Greg Sr. withstood nearly 5 hours of jackassery and shenanigans and couldn’t get away from the other three fast enough once the round mercifully came to an end.

Saturday’s highlight might have been the rectal probe, served up half-smoke style, Joe endured on the tee at #10.  Per the assumed privacy agreement of the weekend hacker, no additonal details will be available at this time.

Results from the ‘Hick

Posted in Golf with tags , , , on March 17th, 2009 by Todd

Tim and Todd teed it up last Saturday at Pohick.  Joe’s yeast infection kept him from being able to make it out.

The weather was about 45 and cloudy.

Tim shot a 96 and Todd shot a 94, and got his first birdie of the season (on the par 5 #6.)  Todd maintained the allustrious title of Beer King.

Best wishes to Joe as he nurses his vagina back to health.

Who would you bet on?

My main man, Philly Von Mickelson, ripped it up yesterday.  He shot a twin twin 29 on the back and was tied for the lead after the first round.

Witness the plump awesomeness here.
